Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Metryc collects, uses, and protects your information.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly (such as account details, messages, and support requests), and information generated by your use of the service (such as usage data and device information).
2. How we use information
We use information to provide and improve Metryc, personalize experiences, communicate with you, and maintain safety and security.
3. Sharing information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers who help us operate Metryc, or when required by law.
4. Google user data
Metryc offers optional features that access data from your Google Account through Google's APIs. This section describes exactly what we access and how we handle it.
What we access
- Google Sign-In: if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture to create and authenticate your account.
- Google Sheets and Google Drive: if you connect these services, we access spreadsheet content you ask us to read, create, or update, and read-only file metadata needed to locate files you reference.
- Google Calendar: if you connect this service, we access calendar events in order to read, create, or update events you request.
- Gmail: if you connect this service, we access email messages on a read-only basis and create email drafts, only as needed to carry out actions you request.
How we use it
We use Google user data solely to provide and improve the user-facing features you request — for example, reading a spreadsheet you point your assistant to, drafting an email, or scheduling a calendar event. We do not use Google user data for advertising (including targeted, personalized, or interest-based advertising), do not sell it or transfer it to data brokers or information resellers, do not use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes, and do not use it to train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
How we share it
We only transfer Google user data to service providers as necessary to provide the features you request — such as our cloud hosting provider and the AI model providers that process your requests on our instructions — or as required by law. These providers are not permitted to use your Google user data for their own purposes, including model training. Humans at Metryc do not read your Google user data unless you give us explicit permission (for example, in a support request), it is necessary for security purposes such as investigating abuse, or we are required to do so by law.
How we protect, retain, and delete it
Google user data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and the OAuth tokens that grant access are stored securely. We retain Google user data only while the related connection is active. You can disconnect a Google service at any time from within Metryc or by revoking Metryc's access in your Google Account settings; when you do, we delete the stored tokens and associated Google user data. You can also request deletion by emailing contact@metryc.ai.
Metryc's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5. Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service and comply with legal obligations.
6. Your choices
You may request access, correction, or deletion of your information. Contact us at contact@metryc.ai for assistance.
7. Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no system is fully secure.
8. Children’s privacy
Metryc is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post updates on this page.
